This trial is investigating the use of stem cells from the patient's dental pulp in treating pulpitis. The trial is being conducted at the Center of Advanced Medicine for Dental and Oral Diseases at the National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology in Aichi and proposes to recruit five patients between March 2013 and February 2017. In the study stem cells will be obtained from wisdom teeth or other supernumerary or less precious teeth and then transplanted to the bed of a tooth that has been treated for intractable or incurable pulpitis. G-CSF will also be injected into the bed at the time of transplant to stimulate engraftment. Participants will be monitored for complications following the procedure, and changes in clinical condition.
