This study is investigating whether stem cells from the patient’s own bone marrow could benefit patients with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a condition characterised by loss of vision due to degeneration of cells of the retina (photoreceptors). The study involves cells being injected directly into the eye (intravitreal) and is being conducted by the Mahidol University in Bangkok. Participation is by invitation only with a total of 10 patients enrolled by March 2014. Participants will be monitored for changes in the retina and in vision.
