This trial is designed to evaluate the use of the patient’s own blood stem cells for the treatment of motor neurone disease. The trial is being conducted by the Mayo Clinic in Minesota and expects to enrol 25 subjects by May 2014. Participants will receive different doses of mesenchymal stem cell from their own bone marrow injected directly into the fluid surrounding their spinal cord (intrathecal injection). Participants will be monitored for complications, as well as changes in their clinical condition.
