This trial is designed to investigate if adding stem cells can assist in bone repair. The trial being conducted by the Indonesia University in Jakarta and proposes to recruit 10 participants with fractures that have failed to heal. The control group will receive an bone graft from their hip, whereas the experimental group will receive bone marrow stem cells that have been expanded in the laboratory (mesenchymal stem cells) at the fracture site as well as bone matrix (hydroxyapatite matrix). Participants will be monitored for complications and fracture repair. The trial is expected to complete in January 2016.
