This trial aims to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of stem cells from the bone marrow in patients with chronic spinal cord injury. The trial is being conducted by Max Institute of Neurosciences in Uttrakhand and proposes to recruit 15 patients between November 2012 and November 2014. Participants will have an injury established at C5 or below and will receive an injection of their own bone marrow stem cells into the fluid surrounding the spinal cord (intrathecal injection). Participants will be monitored for complications and changes in clinical condition, including changes in standard neurological and functional scores.
