This trial aims to investigate the use of mesenchymal stem cells from the patient's bone marrow in the healing of chronic wounds. The trial is being conducted at the Roger Williams Medical Centre on Providence Rhode Island and proposes to recruit 66 subjects with chronic non-healing wounds between June 2010 and December 2015. Participants will be randomly divided into three groups. A control group will only receive conventional treatment. A second group will receive conventional treatment and fibrin spray. The third group will receive conventional treatment, the fibrin spray mesenchymal stem cells from their own bone marrow. All participants will be monitored for complications following the procedure, and changes in clinical condition, including wound closure.
