Trish Barber

Patricia (Trish) Barber graduated with a Bachelor of International Relations and a Bachelor of Asian Studies (Specialist Japanese) from the Australian National University, and completed her thesis at Hitotsubashi University (Tokyo) on Japanese constitutional reform. From 2008 to 2013, Trish worked as an Executive Officer in the School of Politics and International Relations at ANU.  In 2014, she commenced a Master of Environment degree at the University of Melbourne, with a focus on climate change.

Professionally she has worked in research management 2008-2013 at the Australian National University, and then at the Research Program at the National Heart Foundation.  In late 2016, she took up the position of Professor Melissa Little’s Stem Cell Project Manager at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, working to deliver Melissa’s strategic vision for Stem Cells internally within MCRI, and externally across Melbourne and Australia.  Since March 2017, Trish has been fractionally seconded to the University of Melbourne to provide strategic and operational support to the Stem Cells Australia team.
