Grace Lidgerwood

PhD student at University of Melbourne
Recipient of Australian Postgraduate scholarship

Grace completed a Bachelor of Science in 2010, graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She then undertook an Honours year in 2011 at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre graduating with First Class Honours. After a period of working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Pathology (University of Melbourne), Grace joined the Neuroregeneration Group at the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA).

Her PhD project aims to elucidate the role of signalling molecules, including lipids and microRNA, in the differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells into retinal and neural lineages.
