Katherine completed her BSc with majors in Zoology and
Neuroscience in 2008 followed by a MSc with the Department of Zoology in 2010
with the University of Melbourne.
Katherine is now a PhD student with the Neuroregeneration
Unit at the Centre for Eye Research Australia, The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear
Hospital. The purpose of her PhD project is to generate and characterise
induced pluripotent stem cells from patients with or without glaucoma and then
to examine any cellular or molecular mechanisms of the disease using retinal
ganglion cells differentiated from these patient lines.
