My PhD project involves investigating macrophage biology and functions, particularly endotoxin tolerance. I will be investigating the molecular drivers involved in the initiation of tolerance as well as exploring ways to induce a tolerized state synthetically. This study will be carried out using terminally differentiated macrophages derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells.

My project is involved with the CSIRO Synthetic Biology Future Science Platform.
