I finished my Bachelors with Honours from the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Dhaka in 2014, then I did my Masters from the same institution and graduated in 2016. I started my PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2017. I started working with the Wells lab group in 2018.

My background is in molecular biology, but I am making the transition to computational biology. I want to study the factors that decide the cells decision to respond to serotonin, a neurotransmitter which is crucial in mental health and wellbeing. Cells that receives and acts on the signal transmitted by serotonin do so by expression receptors specialised for serotonin. I want to investigate the molecular characteristics that are associated with the cell's choice to express these receptors.
