Prof Martin Pera, Program Leader of Stem Cells Australia and Chair of Stem Cell Sciences at the University of Melbourne, was inducted as a Club Melbourne Ambassador at a Club Melbourne dinner this week.
Club Melbourne is a collaborative strategy supported by the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau and the State Government of Victoria.
Club Melbourne Ambassadors are committed to their field of expertise and are passionate about positioning Melbourne and Victoria as one of the world’s leading destinations for business events.
Ambassadors bring together professional, medical, scientific and industry leaders to secure and host first-rate international conventions, putting Melbourne on the world stage and significantly contributing to the Victorian economy.
Club Melbourne Ambassadors not only create opportunities for the city and their colleagues, they also gain international recognition for their achievements, including attracting new sponsors, Government funding and profile for their association and institutions.
Congratulations to Martin and the 17 other prominent Victorians on this recognition.
