What's On

CERA Stem Cell Information Forum

11:00 AM - Thursday 16 August, 2018

To be hosted by Dr Damián Hernández from the Centre for Eye Research Australia and to be held at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons this free forum provides an opportunity to learn about stem cells and understand the science behind
their use. So come along ask your questions and meet the scientists.

Imagine a world where inherited eye diseases are cured using your own cells.

There are many ways in which human stem cells can be used in research. The potential of stem cells holds much promise for unravelling the complexities with restoring sight.

But what are stem cells, and why are they so important?
What are the facts? What does stem cell science mean for eye disease?

Come and learn about stem cells and understand the science behind them. All are welcome at our community events, aimed at a general audience.
